About Eugene A. Nwosu, MD
Dr. Eugene Nwosu received his medical degree from the University of Ibadan Medical School in Ibadan, Nigeria. He completed his internship at Lagos University Teaching Hospital in Lagos, Nigeria. He completed his residency and served as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Ill. He later completed his fellowship in cardiology at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics in Madison, Wi. Dr. Nwosu was a cardiologist in Savannah for 25 years before returning to his native country Nigeria to expand cardiac care to the impoverished residents of the West African nation. There, he served as Chief Medical Director of the United Heart Hospital & Clinics in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria. Dr. Nwosu is a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine, American College of Cardiology, American College of Physicians and American Heart Association.
