Dr. Russell Kirks is the region’s only board-certified, fellowship-trained hepatobiliary surgeon. He specializes in diseases of the liver, pancreas and biliary system, with a particular interest in pancreatic cancer. He is also an established physician researcher and has authored numerous articles in the field of hepatobiliary surgery. A Savannah native and graduate of Savannah Christian Preparatory School, Dr. Kirks is proud to practice in his hometown. Dr. Kirks earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Georgia. He did a general surgery fellowship at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. He then did a hepatobiliary surgery fellowship at Virginia Macon Medical Center in Seattle, Wash. Dr. Kirks is license to practice in Georgia. He is a member of the Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association and International Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association.DISCLAIMER
