About Robert E. Jones, MD

Dr. Robert Jones received his undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi and went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. He did a thoracic and cardiovascular surgery residency at the University of Virginia and a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at Bringham and Women’s Hospital at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Jones is board certified in general surgery and cardiac and thoracic surgery. Dr. Jones is trained in the TAVR procedure to perform valve replacements. He’s also trained on the da Vinci Surgical System to perform VATS Thoracoscopy.
